Period: January 2008 to April 2009

The A job for All project was developed within the framework of the EES, and more specifically around two themes from the Wim Kok Report:

  • Attracting and retaining more people in the labour market
  • A labour market that promotes the inclusion of all

3 Objectives

  • To exchange best practices in employment integration within the two areas of the labour market mentioned above
  • To raise awareness among the non-profit sector about the issues of the EES
  • To explore how to develop contacts, collaborations and, where possible, synergies between public authorities and non-profit organisations responsible for the socio-professional integration of vulnerable groups

Working Method

  • Overall coordination of the project was entrusted to a transnational Steering Committee led by the CEC, which met four times in Brussels
  • 4 best-practice exchange meetings (2 each), accompanied by field visits at the headquarters of the four partner organisations (Lyon, Poznan, Milan, Brussels)
  • A final transnational seminar bringing together all members of the CEC network, held on 17 March 2009 in Brussels
  • Ongoing interactive contact between partners and the CEC (email and telephone)
  • Production of a CD-ROM (2,500 copies) in English and French, compiling all best practices and their summaries, the seminar proceedings, recommendations, and the project’s conclusions

Partnerships

The project brought together five socio-professional integration organisations working with vulnerable groups and four regional authorities:

  • ACFI-FIAS (BE) – Project Leader
  • Employment Department of the Ministry of the Brussels-Capital Region (BE)
