Our members

Our members are actively engaged in a wide range of social inclusion initiatives. Some focus on specific marginalised groups, including immigrants, refugees, homeless individuals, and unemployed or unqualified youth.
Many members specialise in labour market integration through vocational and educational training, lifelong guidance, and broader social inclusion strategies. Their core areas of expertise include job coaching, skills development, and socio-professional integration, all aimed at building systems that promote both employment and social and cultural inclusion.
In addition, some members place a strong emphasis on areas such as social housing, healthcare, and social services.

AGFE

AGFE (Association for the Management of European Funds), created in 2011, is an association that acts as an Intermediate Body for the ESF+ programme, on behalf of the Ministry of Labour and participating local authorities. It co-finances the operations of the Local Plans for Integration and Employment (PLIE) in Argenteuil and Bezons, Cergy-Pontoise, and the Roissy Pays de France urban community. These initiatives aim to support the integration and long-term access to quality employment for people facing difficulties. AGFE funds, coordinates, and strengthens integration pathways, mobilises local stakeholders and businesses, and enhances the training and support services available in the PLIE territories.

It develops locally rooted socio-professional integration projects through training and employment. These initiatives aim to combat inequality and exclusion by promoting both individual and collective empowerment, as well as active citizenship.

Barka

Barka Foundation is an NGO supporting the social reintegration of excluded groups through mutual help, education, and entrepreneurship. Each year, it involves around 5,000 people across Poland, Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Barka creates Schools of Social Animation, led by individuals who overcame hardship, to train others in combating exclusion. Legal reforms in Poland now support these initiatives with financial and legal backing.

The foundation operates a Special Work Centre for individuals with disabilities, manages an insertion company offering services in environmental management, gardening, rehabilitation, cleaning, and IT maintenance , and serves as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) center. Trinijove emphasizes sustainable integration through economic participation and actively promotes the solidarity economy.

Médialys is a Social Integration through Economic Activity organisation established in 2006. Médialys employs 200 people who are far from the labour market (long-term unemployed, recipients of minimum social benefits, etc.) and offers them 26 hours of work per week on tasks such as reception, flow management, guidance, and mediation within the public transport network of the Lyon metropolitan area (France). This approach helps individuals acquire workplace norms and regain confidence. In parallel, Médialys provides tailored socio-professional support to help employees in integration develop a concrete plan leading to sustainable employment.

UNESSA plays a frontline role in representing and defending the interests of its members, which include: hospitals, nursing homes, mental health institutions, support services for people with disabilities, early childhood care facilities, school health promotion services, family planning centres, youth support organisations, socio-professional integration initiatives, and social economy enterprises.
