Funded by the European Commission through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0, the “Upskilling and Reskilling with a Focus on Digital and Green Skills” initiative aims at preparing the workforce for the future. Launched in 2022, the programme is dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills needed in an evolving job market, emphasizing digital and environmental sustainability skills. It is set to run until April 2025.

MEK SA plays an active role in this program, offering specialized training in areas such as Digital Marketing, E-commerce, Circular Economy, and Solid and Liquid Waste Management, among others. These courses are designed to help participants develop competencies that align with the demands of the modern economy, particularly in rapidly growing sectors influenced by digital transformation and green transitions.

The program is open to both unemployed individuals and employed professionals seeking to upgrade their skills. Enrolment is straightforward: participants select a thematic area of interest and are directed to a Lifelong Learning Centre, where they receive a voucher to register for the relevant course. Course durations range from 50 to 200 hours, depending on the chosen topic. Upon completing the training, participants take a certification exam conducted by ACTA, a nationally accredited certification body and a partner of MEK SA. Successful candidates receive a certification that enhances their employability and career prospects.
