INDEED is an Erasmus+ project developed by our member Foundation Luigi Clerici (FLC) in collaboration with organisations in Germany, Slovakia and Hungary.
Persons with disabilities often live in segregated settings, such as institutions or within families, throughout their lives. They are frequently perceived as individuals who require constant care and assistance, without the opportunity to exercise their right to self-determination. As a result, they may not develop the necessary skills to lead independent lives.
The Indeed project seeks to empower individuals with disabilities by promoting their right to self-determination and independent living. This is achieved through facilitating transnational knowledge exchange and sharing best practices.
Specific Objectives
- Involve people with disabilities in meetings and discussions about their needs and experiences to foster their self-empowerment and ensure their voices are heard.
- Organize transnational exchanges that allow participating partners to create a European network focused on disability and independent living. This network will help develop shared European strategies for future initiatives.
In March 2025, FLC hosted the final meeting of the project in Milan, where they presented insights into the Italian school and vocational training systems, with a particular focus on personalized professional training courses for students with disabilities. Additionally, the partner consortium worked collaboratively to develop guidelines aimed at encouraging and promoting meaningful discussions on independent living.
