Launched in October 2025 by our member AID, the European project Eco-ReDi (Eco-construction in the Digital Era) aims to bring lasting transformation to training in the field of green building. Funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ programme, this ambitious project will run for 30 months and brings together partners from four countries: our members AID (Belgium), Petra Patrimonia Corsica (France), and Fundació Privada Trinijove (Spain), along with ANAB (Italy) and Aplomb38 (France).
A Rapidly Evolving Sector
With the rise of bio-based materials, innovative sustainable techniques, and the growing digitalisation of construction sites, the green building sector is undergoing significant change. Training institutions must now update their content and tools to keep pace.
That’s where Eco-ReDi steps in—blending technical expertise with digital innovation. Through an interactive online platform and a serious educational game, learners will be able to virtually test ecological materials, explore different options, see the impacts of their choices, and practice safely—without setting foot on a real construction site.
Digital Tools with an Inclusive Approach
Far from embracing technology for its own sake, Eco-ReDi adopts a strongly inclusive philosophy. Acknowledging the persistent digital divide, the project is committed to making learning accessible to everyone, especially adult learners, people with few qualifications, and those far from employment. The tools will be user-friendly, intuitive, and available across various devices—from desktops to smartphones.
Training the Trainers for Lasting Impact
Another cornerstone of the project is the training of trainers. Once the platform and serious game are complete, workshops will be held in all partner countries to guide educators on how to use and integrate these tools. The goal: create a multiplier effect where trained educators go on to train new generations of sustainable construction professionals.
