Europe is facing an unprecedented wave of migration: European countries have become destinations for many populations experiencing hardship in their home countries. The economic integration of migrants is one of the priorities of the EU’s comprehensive approach to migration. It is crucial to empower migrants and refugees to develop skills and to provide them with access to knowledge and support that can enable them to build their lives and become socially integrated in Europe.
Objectives
- Exchange of good practices between organisations from different European countries;
- Improving the quality and relevance of services provided to migrants through an analytical study of migrants’ needs with a view to their social and economic integration;
- Promoting employment, vocational training, and entrepreneurship among migrants.
Project deliverables
The challenge of migration can be turned into an opportunity to create economic growth and jobs.
The project’s innovation lies in the methodological approaches used for the self-education of representative target groups across different sectors (cultural support, language support, social and economic inclusion, etc.), combining analytical research and guidelines (Outputs 1 and 2) with the use of ICT tools (Output 3).
- Conducting a study aimed at highlighting the main needs of migrants in their process of social integration in the host country;
- Developing tools, training pathways, and guidance materials to support migrants in their cultural, linguistic, and economic integration;
- Creating an online platform providing practical information and resources to facilitate migrants’ integration into their new environment.
