Objectives
The main objective of the project is to promote the recognition and transparency of skills and qualifications in order to facilitate learning, employment, and professional mobility for migrants. The target groups are extra- or intra-EU migrants, as well as intra-EU migrants who wish to return to their country of origin in the short or medium term. Additionally, the project targets national bodies responsible for the recognition of professional qualifications, the evaluation and certification of learning schemes, and all key stakeholders who play an important role in supporting initiatives for the validation of non-formal and informal learning.
Anticipated outcomes
- To analyze specific aspects of the migration phenomenon in Europe (extra- and intra-EU migrants, the qualification level of new migrants, internal migration of young workers) and the initiatives adopted in the different project countries regarding the validation of non-formal and informal learning, in accordance with Council Recommendation 20/12/12.
- To build an online database accessible in the project countries to share information, good practices, and methods to support direct and indirect target groups in the identification, documentation, and assessment of individual skills acquired through non-formal and informal learning.
- To create and test a guidance module to help migrants and training providers transfer the validation and certification of non-formal and informal learning acquired in one EU or non-EU country to another.
