We are delighted to highlight the active engagement of our member, MOMENTUM, as a partner in the European project SPHERE+ – Cooperation Against LGBTIQ+ Hate Speech in Political and Public Spheres. Funded by the European Union, this project focuses on combating hate speech against LGBTIQ+ people in political and public discourse, particularly in light of increasing discriminatory and hostile rhetoric in politics and media. The project seeks to equip civil society organizations, public officials, and policymakers with the tools, resources, and training needed to identify and effectively respond to hate speech, while also providing educational materials and online tools to better understand its dynamics and encourage inclusive communication.

Launch of the SPHERE+ Awareness Campaign
The campaign illustrates how language used by public and political actors affects the dignity, equality, and safety of LGBTIQ+ people. It includes a series of educational messages, examples, and analyses shared across the project’s social channels.
Online Platform Live and Resources Available
The SPHERE+ project website already provides key information on objectives, partners, and expected results, offering tools designed for a broad audience, from civil society organizations to public communicators.
In addition, partners are finalizing the Evidence Base Report, which compiles survey results and discourse analyses. This report will provide a foundation for future trainings and the European Code of Conduct.
